Julia Fiona Roberts born to Betty Lou Bredemus (mother) and Walter Grady Roberts on October 28th, 1967. She comes from the fourth Roberts family that been a resident of Atlanta. It began with her great-grandfather John Pendleton Roberts who was a farm. Her father had the first interest to stage. As a student of Emory University in 1952 he was a part of productions at Emory University as well as in other parts of Atlanta. He joined the air force in 1953. While working in Biloxi Mississippi, was cast in a military production that included Betty Lou Bredemus who was as well in Air Force. The two married in 1955 and the couple's first child Eric Anthony was born in 1956. Walter went to Tulane University New Orleans Louisiana after leaving the Airforce in 1957. Walter started working at Atlanta Academy Theater and Harrington Scenic and Lighting Studio in 1960. Walter and Betty Lou started production in 1964 for the local children's Saturday morning TV show Bum Bum and His Buddies, which they funded themselves. They also founded a six-year Actors and Writers Workshop later the same year. They also had two children Lelisa (called Lisa) Billingsley in the year 1965 as well as Julia (called Julie) in 1967.
